Aviva offer a Digital GP App, powered by Square Health to their Health Insurance policyholders, giving round-the-clock access to an NHS registered GP. The app has many features including virtual GP appointments, referral letters, fit notes and order prescriptions.

What healthcare services are available through the Aviva Digital GP app?

| Virtual GP Video appointments | You can book an appointment with an NHS registered GP, giving you access to medical diagnosis, advice and private prescriptions. All appointments are guaranteed within 24 hours and you could be seen within 30 minutes. |
| Referral letter | Should you require further diagnosis or treatment, you will be provided with a referral letter. You will then need to call Aviva to make your claim. |
| Statement of Fitness for Work | If you are off work for more than 7 consecutive days, your employer will normally ask for a fit note which can be obtained through a virtual GP appointment. Please note, there is a £15 charge. |
| Repeat NHS prescriptions | You can order repeat NHS prescriptions on the app and get free UK delivery. |
| Private prescriptions | Following your virtual consultation, your GP can issue you with a private prescription should you need it. Please note there will be a charge for this prescription. |
Can I use the Aviva GP App whilst on holiday?
Yes – residents of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man can use the app whilst abroad.
How do I book an appointment on the app?
Once you have logged into the app, select ‘Services’ and then ‘GP appointment’. You must read the terms and conditions and once agreed, you will then be asked to provide further details and then will be given the option to choose a time and date that suits you, aswell as a choice of GPs.
How long are the appointments?
The virtual GP appointment will last up to 15 minutes.
