Sales Executive

We have an amazing opportunity available for Sales Executives to join the team in Cheltenham, London, and Cirencester.

The role is a full time, permanent position and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum with an OTE of £70,000 - £100,000 plus excellent benefits.

We are the largest private health insurance intermediary in the UK, we help thousands of people acquire health care policies which are right for their needs and are competitive across the market. We sell Private Health Insurance policies on behalf of 9 of the leading insurers. We are independent, impartial and unbiased, are not tied to any one insurer so they will only recommend a policy which reflect best their client’s needs. We have now launched a new department which offers Life Insurance, Income Protection and Critical Illness cover.

What we can offer you:

  • A guaranteed basic salary of £30,000 per annum
  • Uncapped commission structure with high OTE of £70,000 to £100,000

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate Sales Executive that wants to take their career to the next level. You will be professional, analytic and a motivated consultant or adviser who wants to develop their career within a successful, ambitious and dynamic business at this exciting time of growth.

Using our advanced quotation system, you will take your client thorough a fact-finding process to find out the wants and needs and the clients affordable monthly budget. You will be tasked with overcoming objections by highlighting the features and benefits of our range of products and the service that we provide.

Duties and responsibilities of our Sales Executive:

  • Understand, implement and embrace the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA’s) regulatory expectations
  • Provide appropriate client specific advice in relation to the sale of insurance products in accordance with the legislative and procedural requirements
  • Maintain, develop and service existing and new clients, ensuring that the Company’s compliance systems and procedures are utilised
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate both internally and externally in order to optimise quality of service, profitable business growth, sustainable relationships and customer satisfaction
  • Construct effective written communications (including but not limited to letters and emails)

Who would be successful in the Sales Executive role?

  • Previous sales experience within a telesales role with the drive to work with and convert warm leads
  • Able to work effectively in a target driven sales environment
  • Excellent communicator across all levels demonstrated with interpersonal skills, including questioning and listening at all times
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to operate at a strategic level
  • Able to analyse and understand data and information quickly
  • Determined, resourceful and has purpose to deliver the best results for the organisation
  • Will pick up product knowledge and use it to provide best advice

ou will be contacting clients who have previously enquired into Private Medical Insurance with us, so there is no cold calling involved! You will be highlighting the features of the service we provide and the benefits of Private Medical Insurance to the client. Your aim will be to pass these clients through to our fully qualified advisors, who will find them the most suitable policy.

As Usay are growing, we are now looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Operations team and drive our search for talent as well as identify and develop new channels for finding great candidates. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and will be solely responsible for all recruitment within Usay Compare.

Usay Compare are currently looking for an experienced and focused Senior PHP Web Developer to join our IT software team. As our Senior PHP Web Developer, you will play an integral role in the creation of a new cloud-based platform based on microservices to support the company’s growing business.

We’re looking for a Digital Designer to expand our rapidly growing Cirencester-based business.

From webpages, social content and online promotional banners to digital marketing and onsite artwork, we’re looking for a talented creative to bring our messages to life.

A typical day would involve working on multiple projects across disciplines, everything from creating website landing pages, animated GIF/HTML5 banners, bespoke print work and more. Reporting to the head of IT but working directly alongside the Marketing department, you’ll be part of an integral team whilst supporting the creative needs of every department within the company.

Strong HTML/CSS skills, a keen eye for layout design and most importantly attention to detail are all key to the role, but what will really set you apart is your ability to work calmly and quickly under pressure.

You should be fluent in the core Adobe CC packages with a talent for artwork creation and the ability to take your projects from concept and design to completion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing and creating website landing pages & responsive email templates using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript;
  • Original artwork creation to support marketing campaigns, internal projects and customer material;
  • Liaising closely with the marketing department, outside creative agencies and the company as a whole to produce high-quality, valuable artwork.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with excellent typography, layout design and artwork creation skills;
  • An up-to-date, working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and the ability to quickly create high quality, interactive web pages;
  • A strong portfolio to showcase the above.

Experience with more advanced technologies such as Git, PHP/Laravel and React are highly desirable but not essential. Likewise, experience with illustration, video or animation work would be beneficial but not key to the role.

Who do I contact if I want to know more about a career opportunity?

Is parking available on site?

We have a limited number of assigned parking spaces, which are offered on a first come first served basis. There are also a number of roads nearby that offer free parking.


What is the dress code?

Our dress code is smart business. We often have visitors onsite so we like to look professional at all times.


What does the interview process consist of?

The interview process is dependent upon the role you’ve applied for. Most consist of an initial telephone interview followed by a two-stage face-to-face interview.

Everyone shortlisted for one of our sales adviser roles will be required to take a Usay Compare psychometric test. In the case of senior roles, you may be asked to present at a second interview.


When will I be notified of the outcome of my application?

We would love to be able to reply to everyone who applies – however, due to the high volume of applications we receive, if you haven’t heard from us within four working days of the closing date for applications, you have been unsuccessful.


Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes – if you feel you’re qualified for more than one vacancy we have on offer, you’re welcome to apply for multiple roles, though we do ask that you submit separate applications for each vacancy.


What documentation do you require and what checks do you do?

We work in a highly regulated industry and are FCA registered, so we have to ensure we’re not putting our customers at risk. We require proof of eligibility to work in the UK (passport or full birth certificate, along with both parts of a driving licence ), proof of previous employment (payslip within the last three months) and proof of residential history (utility bill within the last three months). If we offer you a position and you accept, we will complete an adverse financial check and an identity check. This is not about having a good or bad credit score.
